چکیده

We consider a family of long-range percolation models (Gp)p>0 on Zd allowing dependence between edges and having these connectivity properties for p ∈ (1/d,∞): (i) the degree distribution of vertices in Gp has a power law distribution, (ii) the graph distance between points x and y is bounded by a multiple of logpd logpd |x − y| with probability 1 − o(1), and (iii) an adversary can delete a relatively small number of nodes from Gp(Z ∩ [0, n]) resulting in two disconnected large subgraphs.

همگام‌سازی در مدل کوراموتو روی شبکه‌های پیچیده با توزیع فرکانس ذاتی دوقله‌ای

In this work, we study the Kuramoto model on scale-free, random and small-world networks with bimodal intrinsic frequency distributions. We consider two models: in one of them, the coupling constant of the ith oscillator is independent of the number of oscillators with which the oscillator interacts, and in the other one the coupling constant is renormalized with the number of oscillators with ...

Geometric Inhomogeneous Random Graphs

For the theoretical study of real-world networks, we propose a model of scale-free randomgraphs with underlying geometry that we call geometric inhomogeneous random graphs (GIRGs).GIRGs generalize hyperbolic random graphs, which are a popular model to test algorithms forsocial and technological networks. Our generalization overcomes some limitations of hyperbolicrandom graphs, w...

Modeling interactome: scale-free or geometric?

MOTIVATION Networks have been used to model many real-world phenomena to better understand the phenomena and to guide experiments in order to predict their behavior. Since incorrect models lead to incorrect predictions, it is vital to have as accurate a model as possible. As a result, new techniques and models for analyzing and modeling real-world networks have recently been introduced. RESUL...

Growing scale-free networks with tunable clustering.

We extend the standard scale-free network model to include a "triad formation step." We analyze the geometric properties of networks generated by this algorithm both analytically and by numerical calculations, and find that our model possesses the same characteristics as the standard scale-free networks such as the power-law degree distribution and the small average geodesic length, but with th...

Navigating ultra-small worlds in ultra-short time

Random scale-free networks are ultrasmall worlds. The average length of the shortest paths in networks of size N scales as lnlnN. Here we show that these ultrasmall worlds can be navigated in ultrashort time. Greedy routing on scale-free networks embedded in metric spaces finds paths with the average length scaling also as lnlnN. Greedy routing uses only local information to navigate a network....
